Elder's Nguyen's Favorite Scripture

"And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

"The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

"Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."

Hi everyone,

This week we got transfer calls.  For now, I will be staying in Branch 6 with Elder Workman.  However, we seem to be the only Viet companionship that is staying the same in Phnom Penh.  Every single other companionship (including the sisters) is getting shuffled around, with people going to and from Vietnam.  A lot of sister missionaries are going home this week, which means that there's going to be a rather large companionship shuffle, trying to fill the gaps, because we don't have any coming in right now.

We still don't have any investigators, but we're looking when we have time.  Our zone recently started a new project where we take the names of less active members who the church has lost track of, and we try to find them through social networking sites, especially Facebook (but you won't be seeing me on because we don't use our own accounts.)  Since we don't have investigators, Elder Workman and I do a lot of the work.  It's done Tuesday through Saturday, and Elder Workman and I are scheduled for every day.

Well, I'm running out of time, so I'll go now.  Have a great week everyone!

Elder Nguyen
