Elder David Nguyen is serving a 2 year volunteer mission teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Vietnamese language in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission. He reports to the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center on August 15, 2012 and will serve for a period of two years.
Elder's Nguyen's Favorite Scripture
"And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
"The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?
"Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."
Our son, David, was serving a mission in Cambodia teaching the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to the Vietnamese people. While in the field, he became
ill and was unable to receive the medication he needed in Cambodia (it
is unavailable there). David returned home on Thursday, February 21,
and we were so happy to see him!
We are so very proud of David. He worked extremely hard and did all he
was asked to do. He is doing much better now. He's planning to go back
to school (hopefully this fall) and is keeping busy!
