Elder's Nguyen's Favorite Scripture

"And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

"The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

"Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."

I'm sorry I didn't e-mail last week.  We were a little busy trying to get stuff done.

We haven't been able to do very much this week, because of Tet.  Half of the Viets are out of town, and the other half are busy preparing for Tet, so we really can't visit anyone because they're all either too busy or not here.

Sunday was a bit of a disappointment.  At first we were excited because there were more people in Sacrament Meeting than I have seen for a long time.  However, after Sacrament Meeting, almost everyone went home except the branch president, some of the older sisters, the missionaries, and a few others.  We didn't really have class because all of the teachers went home to prepare for Tet.  The missionaries taught a lesson to the few members who stayed, but there weren't that many people in class, so it had minimal impact.

We haven't been able to do very much contacting, so we've mostly been updating the maps to members houses in our area book and CBR book. Hopefully next week we'll actually be able to visit people.

Have a great week everyone!

Elder Nguyen
